TNHC's legislative work in recent years has made a meaningful impact on providers and residents. Notable outcomes include securing the largest Medicaid funding increase in a decade and working to establish a beneficial new rate methodology. As a result of The Coalition's historical funding successes, Texas providers have improved resident quality care outcomes as validated by the overall CMS Nursing Home Quality Measure Rating System. Within the last five years, the state’s ratings have risen from 42nd to 18th in the nation. The legislative goal of TNHC is to continue to advance historic policy improvements that strengthen the long-term care industry, support providers, and enhance resident care statewide. |
